Compare the cost

What does routine phone and scheduling work really cost your practice?

Before adding payroll for routine calls and scheduling, compare the cost of a managed monthly service with service hours agreed in writing.

$20 per hour40 hours a week52 weeks12 months$3,467 a month

That is the wage cost of one full-time employee at $20 an hour, before payroll taxes and benefits. It is an illustrative wage comparison, not a guaranteed saving or a like-for-like employee replacement. Meds & More starts at $999 a month for the service hours agreed in writing.

Compare Packages

ScenarioEstimated monthly cost
One full-time employee$3,467
Two full-time employees$6,933
Three full-time employees$10,400
Meds & More packages $999 · $1,199 · $1,499 per monthfrom $999

How we calculated this: $20 per hour × 40 hours per week × 52 weeks ÷ 12 months, rounded to the nearest dollar. Wages only: payroll taxes, benefits and other employment costs are not included. This is an illustration, not a promise. Meds & More provides the service hours agreed in writing with your practice; it is not a like-for-like replacement for a full-time employee, and any saving depends on the agreed scope.

Let's Talk About Practice Growth

Useful before you buy anything

Practical ideas for a more efficient, more visible practice.

01The hidden cost of missed callsHow to see where calls slip through, without guesswork.

Start by looking at your own data rather than industry averages.

  • Pull two weeks of call logs from your phone system and note missed and abandoned calls by hour and weekday.
  • Compare the busiest gaps with your front-desk schedule, lunch breaks and opening and closing times.
  • Check how quickly missed callers are called back, and who is responsible for doing it.
  • Listen to your own voicemail greeting and after-hours message as a new patient would.

A simple, consistent follow-up routine for missed calls often matters more than any single tool.

02What should your front desk hand off first?Separate rules-based tasks from the ones that need judgment.

Good first candidates for a scheduling assistant are frequent, predictable and low-risk:

  • Appointment reminders and confirmations
  • Answers to common questions such as hours, directions, parking and accepted documents
  • Routine appointment requests that follow clear rules
  • Follow-up messages after a missed call

Keep people in charge of anything clinical, urgent, emotional, billing-related or unusual. Write down the handoff rule for each task before you hand it off.

03Why local search matters for medical and dental practicesMost new patients look for a nearby practice online first.

Local search results depend on relevance, distance and how well-known a practice is. You control more of this than you might think:

  • Keep your name, address, phone number and hours identical on your website, Google Business Profile and directory listings.
  • Choose accurate business categories and list the services you actually offer.
  • Give each main service a clear page on your website that explains who it is for.
  • Make the way to contact or request an appointment obvious on every page.
04Five ways to make your practice website easier to contactSmall changes that remove friction for patients.
  1. Visible contact details: phone number and address at the top of every page, with tap-to-call on phones.
  2. Clear services: say plainly what you treat and who you see.
  3. Mobile usability: readable text, large buttons and fast loading on a phone.
  4. Accessible options: offer more than one way to reach you, and make forms usable with a keyboard and screen reader.
  5. Straightforward inquiries: a short appointment-request form that asks only for what you need to reply.

General business guidance only, not medical, legal or compliance advice.

Straight answers

Questions practices ask us

Is the scheduling assistant a person or AI?

A person. The Virtual Scheduling Clinic Assistant is a trained NexSteps team member who works remotely during the service hours agreed with your practice. AI-assisted calling is not part of these packages. It may be considered as a future addition, and we would discuss it with you before anything changes.

Will the assistant give medical advice or handle emergencies?

No. The assistant handles routine administrative calls, scheduling and rescheduling, and message-taking and routing only. Clinical advice, emergency handling, triage and clinical decisions always stay with your practice and its clinical team.

What hours does the assistant cover?

Service hours are agreed in writing with each practice before service starts. We do not offer 24/7 coverage or unlimited calls.

Does it connect to our EHR or practice management system?

EHR integration is not included in these packages. We review how your practice schedules today and agree in writing the process and access the assistant will use.

How much SEO, social media and video work is included?

Content quantities are agreed in writing with each practice, based on your goals. We do not publish fixed quantities.

What do the packages cost?

Package 1 (Scheduling + SEO) is $999 per month, Package 2 (Scheduling + SEO + Social) is $1,199 per month and Package 3 (Premium Scheduling + SEO + Social + Video & Website Growth) is $1,499 per month. Service hours, content quantities and the full scope are confirmed in a written agreement before anything starts.

Is this HIPAA compliant?

We do not make blanket compliance claims. Before any service handles patient information, we review the tools involved, the agreements they require (such as business associate agreements) and your practice’s obligations with you, and nothing goes live until that review is complete.

Do you guarantee more patients or higher rankings?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, patient volume or revenue. We improve the things you control, such as your listings, website and contact paths, and report on the indicators available to you.

Do you offer medical billing?

No. Meds & More focuses on scheduling support and practice marketing. We do not offer billing, claims processing or revenue cycle management.

Ready to spend less time on routine calls?
